Most boilers have a lifespan of 10–15 years. If yours frequently needs repairs, shows signs of leaks or inefficiency, or is older than 15 years, replacement may offer better value and peace of mind.
A standard replacement (e.g. combi boiler in the same location) usually takes less than a day. However, if relocating or re-piping is required, installation may take longer and you'll be without hot water during that period.
Condensing boilers extract additional heat from the flue gases by condensing water vapour, achieving up to 90% efficiency, vs. 70–80% in non-condensing models. That means better energy performance and lower bills.
Only a Gas Safe registered engineer may legally install, maintain, or service gas boilers in the UK—this ensures safety and compliance with regulations.
Yes - upgrading to a modern condensing boiler can lower gas usage by up to 30%, compared to older, inefficient models. This means noticeable savings on heating bills and reduced carbon emissions.
